3. What you get with the tea compared to simple top-dressing
- With simple surface top-dressing you introduce organisms into the substrate in limited amounts and without a reproduction energy source.
- With aerated tea you introduce organisms that are already active, in a full multiplication phase, with a colony density that is incomparably higher.
- The tea penetrates deeply with irrigation, reaching the entire rhizosphere and not just the surface.
- The effect is immediate and significantly stronger — which is why it is the preferred method for Ecobiobooster.
2. Required equipment
Essential
- Aquarium air pump with flow rate suitable for the water volume used. The stronger the pump, the shorter the preparation time.
- Silicone tube to connect the pump to the diffuser.
- Diffuser / air stone — fine bubbles = greater oxygenation.
- Fine mesh net or bag to contain the vermicompost.
- Clean container (bucket or tank).
- Water left to rest at least 24h to remove free chlorine.
Recommended
- Thermometer to monitor water temperature.
- Precision scale for accurate dosing.
3. Basic recipe — Molasses + Ecobiobooster
- Dogma Pure Molasses: 1.5 ml per liter of water (mandatory).
- Dogma Ecobiobooster: 10–15 g/L.
- Water rested 24h, ideal temperature 20–24°C.
Procedure
- Fill the container with rested water.
- Start the air pump.
- Add molasses and mix.
- Add Ecobiobooster.
- Aerate for the required time.
- Use within 1–2 hours after preparation.
4. Temperature and pump power
- 20–24°C: ideal conditions, 18–24 hours.
- 16–19°C: slower activity, +4–8 hours.
- <16°C: very low activity, not recommended.
- >26°C: risk of unwanted organisms.
Pump effect
- Strong pump: 12–18 hours.
- Medium pump: 20–28 hours.
- Weak pump: 36–48 hours (not recommended).
5. Biological tea variants
Rhizosphere variant
- Molasses 1.5 ml/L
- Root Connection 5 g/L
Humus variant
- Ecobiobooster 10–15 g/L
- Vermicompost 7.5–10 g/L
- Molasses 1.5 ml/L
Pro variant
- Ecobiobooster 10–15 g/L
- Root Connection 5 g/L
- Molasses 1.5 ml/L
- (optional) Vermicompost 7.5–10 g/L
6. When to use the tea
- Start of 2nd flowering week
- Start of 5th flowering week
- End of 7th / start of 8th flowering week
Special tip
- Applying rhizosphere tea on freshly prepared substrate accelerates biological maturation.
7. Common mistakes to avoid
- Using non-dechlorinated water
- Reducing molasses below 1.5 ml/L
- Insufficient air pump power
- Storing the tea
- Using overly saturated substrate
- Ignoring temperature and oxygenation
